Guarding Simplicity, Dwelling in Wandering

“Guarding Simplicity, Dwelling in Wandering” Painting Series

“Guarding simplicity for inner ease” does not mean withdrawing from the world; rather, it is a conscious choice to preserve a rhythm of life that has not been rewritten by efficiency or utility amid complexity and noise. “Dwelling in wandering” does not require traveling great distances, but completes a spiritual journey through stillness.

This series takes simplicity as its method and ease as its outcome. The pictorial space avoids explicit narratives or realistic logic, presenting instead a slow, organic mode of existence—forms appear to unfold yet remain deliberately undefined; time seems to flow, yet refuses to be measured. Viewing is not directed, but gently permitted to linger.

Here, “dwelling in wandering” is not an escape from reality, but an inward act: when the body comes to rest, consciousness begins to roam; when the external world is reduced, perception becomes richer. These works seek to offer viewers a mental field that can be entered and inhabited, where, without striving, haste, or force, one may realign with one’s own inner tempo.

Guarding Simplicity, Dwelling in Wandering is both a quiet resistance to the accelerated pace of contemporary life and a visual inquiry into how one might properly situate the self. Here, simplicity is not a lack, but a form of preservation; ease is not an endpoint, but an ongoing process.
